Yahoo! is a popular web portal operated company called Yahoo! Inc. .. Yahoo! was originally just a kind of bookmark (page instruction book), the idea was started in April 1994, at which time the two alumni of Stanford University professors get vacation when they go out of town for a big vacation.

Engineering students David Filo and Jerry Yang had a bit of work to do but surf the Internet. They did not take long to compile a large list of bookmarks, which are grouped by subject matter.

Then the name was changed to Yahoo. Yahoo is an acronym "Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle". But actually the name of Yahoo has another meaning, namely the ancient or primitive. Taking the name was inspired by the novel Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. As for its own URL
